the final processing and back-end management of expense reports. This centralized management on a global level helps keep costs in check, enforces policies enterprise-wide and leverages enterprise expense data into valuable travel intelligence that can be used for vendor negotiations, budgeting and planning purposes.

Boomerang V4 is built on a new scaleable architecture, and includes a variety of enhancements and new features including a new user interface, enhanced tools to efficiently manage the import and export of information between Boomerang and financial/HR systems, an improved analysis module, greater flexibility for corporate policy maintenance and enforcement, new audit management tools, and global tax and legal requirement support features. In addition, Spanish, Dutch and German will be added to the existing English and French language options.

"We've designed Boomerang V4 to be flexible and scalable for both small- and medium-sized business and multi-national companies. As our clients grow and become more international, their expense reporting needs also change. Boomerang can now accommodate these new requirements, " said Lorne Schwartz, President of Acceleron. "We are also very excited to extend our product offerings to the European and South American market. We are planning to open new offices in Europe this year, to better serve the needs of our global customers."

New Features:

For travelers, Boomerang provides electronic credit card charge pre-population for an unlimited amount of credit cards and automatically generates reminders whenever they are late in reconciling charges. In addition, charge card reimbursement amounts are automatically broken down to determine which charges the company will pay vs. those that are to be paid by the employee. Travelers have access to a unique traveler profile which allows them to set up personal information such as frequently entertained customers, business purposes, personal vehicle data and other information commonly required for expense and travel reports. Boomerang V4 also provides new built-in wizards for hotel, customer entertainment, meals, car rentals and currency exchange gain/loss as well as an allocation feature which allows them to split expenses by cost center and/or project.

For managers, Boomerang includes flexible audit criteria rules such as expenses incurred outside a traveler's home country or what to do in the case of missing receipts. Bar coding within Boomerang allows for easy receipt matching via scanners. Boomerang V4 also has new automatic e-mail notifications to travelers with missing receipts, audit queue management, check-in/check-out of reports, and audit trails. Auditors can run queries on traveler histories and are automatically alerted if an expense report contains items requiring special attention, such as unused tickets or personal expenses. Finally, auditors and managers now have access to over two dozen new travel data management reports, which are generated by Acceleron's improved analysis module.

Availability

Boomerang V4 will be available in March 2001 in English, French, Spanish, Dutch and German versions. Pricing for Boomerang is user-based, with volume discounts.
