Accelerating Demand for Systinet's SOA Governance Solutions Spurs Record Growth.

BURLINGTON, Mass. -- First Half of 2005 Proves to be a Watershed, Includes Significant Customer Acquisition, Reseller Deal with BEA Systems, Groundbreaking Initiative in SOA Governance 

Systinet, the leading software provider of the foundation for SOA governance and lifecycle management, today announced it has experienced strong growth in the first six months of the year, with increasing demand for its standards-based SOA governance products, lead by Systinet Registry.

Systinet's historical strength in financial services, telecommunications, and government verticals has been complemented with growth in healthcare, energy and manufacturing. The increase in interest is attributed to the need and demand for the Systinet Registry, which in late June saw a significant upgrade to Version 6.0. The Registry acts as a system-of-record within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), providing a simple way to govern and manage business services. Success of the registry attests to the growth and maturation of enterprise SOA initiatives.

New Customers

In the last six months, Systinet has announced a $1.15 million contract with the Defense Information Systems Association (DISA), a branch of the U.S. Department of Defense. Additionally, the company has signed well-known customers such as Nielsen Media Research, Good Technologies, Axway, Starwood Hotels, Orange, WebMD, Open Services, Express Scripts, Rockwell Collins, and Great American Insurance Company, among others.

Strong growth in strategic partners also confirmed the key role Systinet's Registry plays in SOA. Significantly increasing both the visibility and market reach for Systinet, the company announced Systinet Registry had been selected by BEA Systems to be resold as a core component of BEA's new SOA product family, called AquaLogic. Systinet's Registry was chosen for its ability to give increased SOA visibility, governance and service lifecycle management to enterprises, making it possible to discover, reuse, and ensure quality and consistency of services in an SOA.

Systinet partnered with another market giant, in announcing support for the Hewlett-Packard's newly released OpenView SOA Manager. Systinet Registry is also part of HP's SOA reference architecture. HP OpenView SOA Manager, with the Systinet Registry as a key component, helps companies to gain control of and manage their SOA. By combining Systinet Registry with HP OpenView SOA Manager, customers can transform their disparate Web services implementations into coherent business services governed and managed in an SOA; The Registry is playing a major part in the HP OpenView SOA governance strategy and acting as a critical part in the design-time phase of the services lifecycle.

New Solutions

In April, Systinet came to market with a groundbreaking initiative called the Governance Interoperability Framework (GIF). The Framework makes SOA simpler to manage, control and scale while also greatly improving the visibility and quality of SOA information. The Framework, supported by Systinet's Business Services Registry acting as the system of record, is the first and only collaborative, standards-based approach to controlling an SOA across multiple vendors and technologies. In its most significant product news of the year, Systinet unveiled Systinet Registry 6.0, the most complete and proven Business Service Registry that provides a foundation for SOA governance and business services lifecycle management. Systinet Registry captures detailed SOA service description and usage information into a centrally managed, reliable, searchable registry. The latest release offers significant enhancements focused on ease-of-use, interoperability within the SOA ecosystem, and providing an SOA "system-of-record" for all enterprise users, from the development community to the enterprise architect and business analysts.

At the same time, Systinet announced Systinet Policy Manager, a new product that offers an extensible, standards-based policy framework for achieving quality and consistency of SOA services.
