Accelent Systems Closes $9.7 Million in Series B.

AKRON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 13, 2001

Accelent Systems Inc., a leading provider of system software solutions for Internet appliance Also called "information appliance," "smart appliance," and "Web appliance," it is a device specialized for accessing the Web and/or e-mail. Designed for ease of use, it plugs into a telephone jack or LAN connection for Internet hookup.  development, has raised $9.7 million in Series B at a 10% increase over the last round valuation. Accelent will use these funds to further expand its sales and marketing efforts to domestic and international markets, as well as to increase R&D efforts for expanding and refining its product and service offerings to meet the growing demand for its solutions.
