Accedian Networks Announces Interoperability with JDSU.

MONTREAL -- Accedian Networks Inc. a leading provider of Ethernet demarcation devices, announced today the interoperability of its EtherNID(TM) product family with JDSU's FST-2802 Field Services Test Set and QT-600 TestHead.

Field Professionals can now initiate far-end Ethernet loopbacks across entire Layer 2 or Layer 3 Carrier Networks directly from the touch-pad of their Ethernet field test gear, thus avoiding truck-rolls and allowing single-ended testing of entire Ethernet Service paths.

"By automatically reacting to JDSU's in-band loop-up/loop-down commands, the Accedian EtherNID(TM) allows cutting by half the OPEX See CAPEX.  and CAPEX associated with the turn-up and troubleshooting of Ethernet Services." said Patrick Ostiguy president & CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Accedian Networks. "This added interoperability will accelerate the turn-up of new revenue-generating Ethernet Services and will increase end-customer satisfaction by optimizing the response time of Carrier's field services teams."

The FST-2802 and QT-600 are part of JDSU's Metro Ethernet test portfolio, the industry's most complete because it includes the full range of Ethernet instruments, systems and software required by customers today and provides analysis of all seven layers of Metro Ethernet services.

By supporting the in-band loopback commands of industry-popular Ethernet Field Services test equipment, the Accedian EtherNID(TM) addresses an important pain-point that Service Providers have been expressing with regards to the Operations Administration and Maintenance (OAM (Operations Administration Maintenance) Refers to managing and maintaining a network or network device. The P in "OAM&P" adds "provisioning" to the list, which is a telephone company term for setting up a service. ) aspects of their Ethernet Service offerings.

Accedian's EtherNID(TM) in-band loopback interoperability feature will be demonstrated at Globalcomm 2006, June 5-7th, McCormick Place, Chicago, booth #81078.
