ApertureONE for Documentum manages all types of structured, computer generated content including management reports and documents such as invoices, credit memos, insurance policies and statements. Applications that generate these reports and documents range from in-house developed software to packages from ERP/CRM vendors including Baan, JD Edwards, Onyx, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Siebel and SAP. The integrated solution enables customers to leverage their existing high availability repository, security, workflow and records management functionality for structured content.

content on EMC Centera through the Documentum Content Server.

-- Workflow Integration. Rules based initiation of Documentum

workflows based on variable data found in computer generated

content.

-- Records Management Integration. Assignment of Documentum life

cycles to documents as they are stored, providing full

retention management.

-- IBM Mainframe Spool File Integration. Capture of print streams

directly from JES (Job Entry Subsystem) Software that provides batch communications for IBM's MVS operating system. It accepts data from remote batch terminals, executes them on a priority basis and transmits the results back to the terminals. The JES counterpart in VM is RSCS. 2/JES3 queues, which are automatically

transferred to the ApertureONE Server.

-- Native AFP (1) (AppleTalk Filing Protocol) The file sharing protocol used in an AppleTalk network.
