Acacia Technologies Files Patent Infringement Lawsuit against on Command Corporation.

); (Nasdaq:CBMX) announced today that its Acacia Technologies group has initiated a patent infringement patent infringement n. the manufacture and/or use of an invention or improvement for which someone else owns a patent issued by the government, without obtaining permission of the owner of the patent by contract, license or waiver.  lawsuit in the District Court for the Central District of California against On Command Corporation regarding Acacia's Digital Media Transmission ("DMT See DSL. ") technology. On Command has reported that it provides digital video services to over 300,000 hotel rooms.

Acacia Technologies group has previously announced the licensing of its DMT technology to LodgeNet Entertainment Corporation (Nasdaq:LNET LNET Library Network
LNET Learning Network
LNET Local Network
), the largest provider of digital video services to the lodging industry with over 350,000 hotel rooms receiving digital video services.

Acacia's DMT technology, which is covered by pioneering patents, relates to audio and video transmission and receiving systems, commonly known as audio-on-demand, video-on-demand, and audio/video streaming, and is used for distributing digital content via several means including Internet, cable television, and wireless systems.
