Acacia Technologies Expands Patent Acquisition Team.

) (Nasdaq:CBMX) announced today that Moses Mares has joined its Acacia Technologies group, a leader in technology licensing, as Vice President, Business Development.

Mr. Mares was most recently senior corporate counsel with Siebel Systems, where he managed a wide variety of intellectual property matters including advising on intellectual property asset purchases and the licensing of intellectual property rights.

He previously held positions with Baker & McKenzie, in both the Intellectual Property and Corporate Groups, where he advised clients regarding intellectual property licensing and litigation An action brought in court to enforce a particular right. Mr. Mares is a registered patent attorney who holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology California Institute of Technology, at Pasadena, Calif.; originally for men, became coeducational in 1970; founded 1891 as Throop Polytechnic Institute; called Throop College of Technology, 1913–20. , an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas Austin, an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California The University of California has a combined student body of more than 191,000 students, over 1,340,000 living alumni, and a combined systemwide and campus endowment of just over $7.3 billion (8th largest in the United States).  San Diego and a J.D. degree from Santa Clara University.
