Acacia Subsidiary Enters into Settlement Agreement with Verizon Wireless.


NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- Acacia Research Corporation (Nasdaq:ACTG) announced today that its subsidiary Contacts Synchronization Corporation has entered into a settlement agreement with Verizon Wireless in connection with the settlement of Verizon Wireless's part in the patent infringement lawsuit Civil Action No. 07-C-0250-C, filed in the Western District of Wisconsin in May of this year. Terms of the agreement are confidential. Verizon Wireless settled the case without admitting any liability for the alleged patent infringement.
