Abusive nurse is struck off.


A NURSE who mocked a crying dementia sufferer after shoving her into a chair has been struck off.

Margaret Hamilton, 47, also prodded an elderly woman - who had recently had a breast removed because of cancer - in the chest and abused others physically and verbally.

The incidents happened between 2002 and 2005 at Wakefield House in Cullen, Banffshire, a nursing and midwifery midwifery (mĭd`wī'fərē), art of assisting at childbirth. The panel heard Hamilton dragged the elderly dementia sufferer by the arm and shouted at her "in an intimidating manner".

She then forcefully pushed her back into a chair and mocked her when she started to cry.
