Abu Dhabi - Inter-Refineries P/L.


A $400m inter-refineries pipeline (IRP See Interest rate parity line. ) for Takreer is being built in a project divided into two main parts. This includes a 203-km multi-products pipeline from Ruwais to Mussafah; a 230-km gasoil pipeline and a 230-km naphtha naphtha (năp`thə, năf`–), term usually restricted to a class of colorless, volatile, flammable liquid hydrocarbon mixtures.  and jet fuel pipeline from Umm al-Nar to Ruwais; and other related facilities. The terminal element centres on construction of pump houses at Ruwais and Umm al-Nar and construction of at least 10 storage tanks, slop tanks and new road tanker loading facilities.

ADNOC's main markets for oil products are Japan and the Indian sub-continent. India and Pakistan buy up 45% of its exports and 60% of its gasoil sales.

 has provided the equipment. The project is estimated to cost $20m. Mustang Engineering of the US is providing construction management services.

The sonocracking project involves the upgrade of heavy-to-medium crude to be supplied by the Fujairah government. FOT is a 50:50 JV of SulphCo of the US and the local TransGulf Petroleum Co., acting on behalf of the government.

ADNOC-FOD ADNOC-FOD Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution  on Jan. 7, 2005, launched its Dh1 bn natural gas distribution project for commercial and residential purposes through a pipeline network by awarding the first two contracts. Hyder Consulting Hyder Consulting is a planning, engineering, environmental and management consultancy that works in the public and private sectors to develop complex buildings and infrastructure. The firm employs over 2,500 people and was listed on the London Stock Exchange in October 2002.  of the UK won the Dh25m technical consultancy contract. The Emirates Canadian Company for Gas (Lootah BC Gas) got the Dh7.5m project management and basic pipeline design contract. Both contracts are for Phase-One of the project to supply natural gas to 200,000 users in Abu Dhabi Abu Dhabi (ä`b thä`bē, zä–, dä–), Arab. Abu Zabi, sheikhdom (1995 pop. 928,360), c.  and Mussafah. The first phase will be completed by end-2008. An overland pipeline network will transport the gas from a field in the western region for use in downtown Abu Dhabi and the Mussafah Industrial Area. The next phase will ensure supply of natural gas to outer parts of Abu Dhabi, al-Ain and neighbouring areas after 2008.
