article that includes a chassis assembly with lateral edges and leg edges. The chassis assembly has an outer covering and an absorbent core positioned within it. The absorbent core has side edges and waist edges. An extensible waist belt is joined to the chassis assembly and is adjacent to one of the lateral edges. The waist belt has a central waist panel and a side panel disposed on each side of the central waist panel. Each side panel extends laterally outward beyond one of the leg edges. The waist belt is made of a structural elastic-like film web, made of a strainable network that has a first region and a second region formed of substantially the same material composition. The first region provides a first, elastic-like resistive force In physics, a resistive force is a force that acts on a body due to its motion relative to other bodies with which it is in contact, whose direction is opposite to the velocity of the body (or in static friction, opposite to the sum of the other forces).  to an applied axial axial /ax·i·al/ (ak´se-al) of or pertaining to the axis of a structure or part.

The elongation of a planet is usually measured as the angular distance from the sun to the planet as measured from the earth. , while the second region provides a second distinctive resistive force that is further applied to the axial elongation, which provides at least two stages of resistive forces in use. A closure system is joined to the extensible waist belt for fastening the absorbent article to the wearer. The absorbent article has an absorbent article area and is dimensioned to fit an infant with a rise dimension of less than 443 mm and a fit index of the absorbent article area to the rise dimension of less than or equal to 240.
