AbsoluteFuture Partners With Digital River to Expand Sales Channel for Its SafeMessage Software.

Business Editors & Technology Writers

MINNEAPOLIS & BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 30, 2000

New Site Features the Latest Versions of SafeMessage,

the Secure E-Mail Messaging Product

Digital River, Inc. (Nasdaq:DRIV DRIV - Drive (street type)), the world's largest Commerce Service Provider (CSP), and AbsoluteFuture (OTCBB:AFTI AFTI - Advanced Fighter Technology Integration), a secure data transmission company, today announced an e-commerce partnership. As part of the agreement, Digital River will build, host and manage a new e-commerce site for AbsoluteFuture's flagship product, SafeMessage(TM), a patent-pending, peer-to-peer-capable messaging system designed to ensure secure communications. The site, located at http://www.safemessage.com, will serve as one of the primary sales channels for the enterprise and consumer versions of SafeMessage. By leveraging Digital River's channel partners, AbsoluteFuture will expand SafeMessage's delivery channel via online retail outlets such as Staples.com, CompUSA, Outpost.com and Egghead.com.

According to Graham Andrews, CEO of AbsoluteFuture, the company chose Digital River for its e-commerce expertise and its secure and reliable commerce infrastructure. "Digital River provides us not only with the functional commerce system to deliver SafeMessage, but also an established sales and marketing infrastructure to increase exposure for our product and dramatically extend our sales channel," Andrews said.

Digital River's full-service commerce solution is designed to help companies quickly and affordably establish an e-commerce presence on an outsource basis.

"Digital River offers its clients access to a proven commerce infrastructure with built-in sales and marketing capabilities as well as an established vendor network," said Jay Keruits, Digital River's executive vice president of Software and Digital Commerce Services. "Companies, like AbsoluteFuture, who want to aggressively move products to the Internet are a natural fit for our model. We are pleased to have the opportunity to work with AbsoluteFuture, as we believe its innovative SafeMessage product has the potential to advance secure electronic communications."

SafeMessage makes it easy for users to exchange highly sensitive electronic messages that expire or self-destruct after a set period of time. In addition, SafeMessage ensures data security through multiple layers of encryption and prevents recipients from copying, saving, forwarding or printing SafeMessages they receive.

SafeMessage gives corporations, ISPs, professional service firms and consumers the ability to take control and ownership of their sensitive data transmissions through its peer-to-peer-capable architecture. SafeMessages can be sent from one user directly to another without having e-mail messages route through mail servers. This prevents messages from leaving a data trail. According to published reports, a typical e-mail can often leave a trail of eight copies in as many as four locations.
