Absolut Spirits leases 40,000 s/f at Meringoff's 401 Park.The Absolut Spirits Company has signed a new lease for 40,000 s/f at Meringoff Properties' 401 Park Avenue South. Absolut, which currently occupies 20,000 s/f at 1370 Avenue of the Americas is doubling its office space in Manhattan, as part of the company's expansion. The move was made to accommodate the growing 50+ person staff resulting from acquisition of Cruzan Rum Cruzan Rum is a rum producer located in Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. Their distillery was founded in 1760 and claims the distinction of "the most honored rum distillery in the world." Management is in the process of creating a new lobby. While financial details of the lease were not disclosed, asking rent in the building run at $40 psf. Though there are currently no vacancies in the building, one tenant who occupies 20,000 s/f floor will be relocating in December 2007 and will be subleasing their space. |
