Commercial introduction of ABRAXANE in the Indian market is expected in 2008 following the completion of the appropriate importation certifications.

In August 2007, Abraxis and Biocon announced an agreement for the commercialization of ABRAXANE in India by Biocon. Under the terms of the agreement, Biocon will have the right to market ABRAXANE in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates United Arab Emirates, federation of sheikhdoms (2005 est. pop. 2,563,000), c.30,000 sq mi (77,700 sq km), SE Arabia, on the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. , Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and certain other South Asian and Persian Gulf countries.
