) announced today that Barbara M. Stuckey has been promoted to Director of Corporate Development.

Ms. Stuckey has been employed with Abraxas for eight years and most recently held the position of Manager of Corporate Development. In her new post, she will assume responsibility for investor relations Investor relations

Ms. Stuckey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio The main campus is situated on 600 acres (2.4 km²,) at the intersection of Interstate 10 and Loop 1604 near the northern edge of San Antonio, Texas in Bexar County. The university is also one of the UT System's fastest growing schools, maintaining a 12.  and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Bordeaux Business School.

Abraxas Petroleum Corporation is a San Antonio-based crude oil and natural gas exploitation and production company. The Company operates in Texas, Wyoming and western Canada.
