Paul Charles William Davies (born April 22, 1946) is a British-born, physicist, writer and broadcaster, who holds the position of College Professor at Arizona State University.
, author of the acclaimed The Mind of God and recent winner of the Templeton Prize The Templeton Prize for Progress Toward Research or Discoveries about Spiritual Realities is a prize given out annually by the Templeton Foundation. Established in 1972, it is awarded to a living person who, in the estimation of the judges, best exemplifies "trying various ways for  for Progress in Religion, has written a new book. Chock full of tachyons, black holes, EPR paradoxes, and Heisenberg uncertainties, the book is a fantastic collage of twentieth-century science. Though it masquerades as a treatise on time, it is really about the solved and unsolved problems in relativistic rel·a·tiv·is·tic

 physics. Unfortunately, it is too shallow and confusing to serve as a primer on modern scientific ideas. And for those who are scientifically up-to-date, About Time is utterly redundant. The scientific paradoxes are poorly explained; the down-to-earth quotes from the likes of Einstein and Lewis Carroll are audaciously recycled; and the humorous anecdotes about famous scientists are so old, they're beginning to sound like bed-time stories.
