Equinix, Inc. (Nasdaq:EQIX), creator and operator of neutral Internet Business Exchange(TM) (IBX(R)) centers, today announced that About.com, the Internet's most complete targeted environment for users and marketers, has selected Equinix as the Internet exchange See IXP and NAP.  services provider for its Web site operations. About will move to Equinix's Dallas IBX center in August 2001, with possible expansion to additional centers later.

By locating its network and site operations within an Equinix IBX center, About will access a unique aggregation of leading network and service providers with whom it can directly interconnect (1) To attach one device to another.
