AbleSoft Acquires Vantage Point, Launching Integrated District, School and Classroom Management Software Package.

PENNSAUKEN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 1, 2000

AbleSoft, Inc., producer of the popular Teacher's Toolbox classroom management software, has acquired Vantage Point from Word Enterprises of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Creating a new subsidiary, AbleSoft Systems, the company will now offer a complete classroom, school and district administrative solution, integrating Teacher's Toolbox with the Vantage Point software. These administrative solutions will continue to be marketed towards charter, private and parochial K-12 schools, colleges and non-profit organizations.

These products, published under the brand name Vantage Point, will be available initially as traditional software packages. Development is already underway to release a new web-enabled version of the software as an ASP solution, according to AbleSoft Systems CEO Mr. Keith Mintzer.

The software is divided into eight core modules that address specific needs for all levels of school and district management functions. The Central Module is the core software module into which all others are integrated. It consolidates all individuals and organizations into a master list for bulk mailings and data management.

It also serves as a central "workspace" where the user can produce professional-looking reports, using any table in the entire database. In addition to the core central application, schools and organizations can choose to add on the following modules to fit their specific needs. They include:

-- School- includes admissions, student registration, scheduling, attendance
and grade reporting

-- Business- Budgeting, purchasing, accounts payable, general ledger

-- Development- Fundraising, campaign/appeal tracking, pledge management and
donor correspondence

-- Personnel/Payroll - Human resources, payroll, volunteer management
