Able Electronics Announces the Promotion of George Laurie to Vice President of Manufacturing.


HAYWARD, Calif. -- Able Electronics Corporation, a leading electronics manufacturing services Electronic manufacturing services (EMS) is term used for companies that design, test, manufacture, distribute and provide return/repair services for electronic component and assemblies for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).  (EMS) company, today announced the promotion of George Laurie to Vice President of Manufacturing.

In his new position, Mr. Laurie will be responsible for both the Hayward and Mexico manufacturing operations Manufacturing operations concern the operation of a facility, as opposed to maintenance, supply and distribution, health, and safety, emergency response, human resources, security, information technology and other infrastructural support organizations.  and will continue with the core implementation of Able's processes and systems to support delivery, quality and customer cost objectives. Laurie, who joined Able Electronics in February 2000 as Director of Manufacturing, will continue to report directly to Peter Dennis, president and COO.
