Abita producing ale to benefit reconstruction.

Abita Brewing Co. of Abita Springs, LA, is now selling Abita Restoration Ale, with $1.00 from the sale of each six-pack going to hurricane recovery efforts.

The company has also created a line of Fleur-de-lis merchandise to help benefit hurricane recovery efforts. Blossman said 100% of the net proceeds Net Proceeds

The amount received after all costs are deducted from the sale of a piece of property or security.

Retailers wishing to display and sell the charity merchandise can also place their order for a special retail display package at the Abita Brewing Company website. "We as a community want the nation to know that we will rebuild the New Orleans area," stated Blossman. Blossman said that within just a few hours of the products being added to the brewery's website thousands of dollars worth of the merchandise had been purchased. In addition, a donation of one dollar for every six pack sold will be made by Abita.
