Business Editors/High Tech Writers

JavaOne 2001

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 5, 2001

Abilizer Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of dynamic Web delivery solutions, today announced that it has joined The Universal Description, Discovery and Integration (UDDI (Universal Description, Discovery and Integration) An industry initiative for a universal business registry (catalog) of Web services turned over to the stewardship of OASIS in 2002 as the version 3 specification of UDDI was released. ) community. As a project participant, Abilizer will work with other industry leaders to support the future development of the UDDI specification and will utilize the open framework for the description and discovery of Web Services (1) Loosely, any online service delivered over the Web. Such usage appears in articles from non-technical sources, but not in IT-oriented publications, because definition #2 below describes the correct use of the term. .

The UDDI project, comprised of more than 260 business and technology leaders, is creating a platform-independent, open framework for describing services, discovering businesses, and integrating business services using the Internet, as well as an operational registry that is available today. UDDI provides an industry-wide approach for businesses to reach their customers, partners and employees with information on products and Web services and a method to integrate into each other's systems and processes.

"As more and more businesses continue to develop and access Web Services, standards-based technologies designed to access these services become critical to sustaining the growth of e-business applications," said Christopher Kurt, Microsoft Program Manager for UDDI and Web Services. "By utilizing UDDI, Abilizer's technology ensures that businesses will learn about services others provide, how to communicate with these service and how to share information to aid business-to-business transactions."

"Abilizer's mission is to expedite the customization and delivery of applications, information and services. Open standards Specifications for hardware and software that are developed by a standards organization or a consortium involved in supporting a standard. Available to the public for developing compliant products, open standards imply "open systems;" that an existing component in a system can be replaced  - like those supported in the UDDI initiative - are an essential part of our architecture," said Glynn Evans, Chief Technology Officer, Abilizer Solutions. "We are excited to join the UDDI project, as we feel that its vision greatly complements our own and ensures that business-to-business integration becomes even more seamless."

Based on open standards, the Abilizer Configurator and Abilizer Dynamic Web Engine products provide a framework for both developers and line of business users to build Web Service features into portal applications, intranets and extranets and supplier and customer hubs. With little or no coding, the products enable a line of business user to easily and rapidly access, develop and deploy many pre-established Web Services that are available. Additionally, by utilizing UDDI, a user can search the UDDI Business Registry for business and the services they provide, display those services and access them through Abilizer's technology. This will become increasingly more important as more Web Services are developed and operated on the Internet.

Abilizer will be exhibiting at booth No. 632 at the JavaOne Conference from June 4-8, 2001 at the Moscone Center The Moscone Center is San Francisco, California's largest convention and exhibition complex.
