Aberdeen Group Survey Of LogicTools Users Reveals High Customer Satisfaction and Supply Chain Performance.

Results to be profiled by LogicTools at CSCMP Learning Exchange in San Antonio, TX

CHICAGO -- A recent survey of LogicTools end users by the Aberdeen Group finds that 100% of respondents indicated that they would recommend LogicTools to others. The survey data finds that supply chain performance of LogicTools customers, who use either the network design or the multi-echelon inventory optimization solutions offered by LogicTools, was generally higher than that of the overall pool of respondents surveyed. This was reflected in higher inventory turns and customer service levels as well as more extensive and frequent analysis of network and inventory positioning.

These findings were a result of two separate surveys that were conducted. The first was from Aberdeen's supply chain network of executives and line of business users. The second was exclusively LogicTools customers According to the second survey, 88% of LogicTools customers used the technology to reduce overall supply chain costs, while 38% reduced supply chain costs and at the same time improved service levels. Other results included 50% of the respondents who reduced inventory levels and 50% who improved service level. "The survey results reflect the impact of using supply chain and inventory optimization technology as part of a company's ongoing strategic and tactical planning processes," says Beth Enslow, senior vice president of enterprise research and supply chain at Aberdeen Group. "We find that companies that are motivated to improve their inventory management can achieve very rapid returns using this technology."

The users mentioned LogicTools' customer support, supply chain expertise and ease of use with the software as the main reasons they selected LogicTools. "We believe that technology alone is not the answer to improving supply chain performance. The ability to build new business processes and incorporate them is the only way to ensure long term returns" noted David Simchi-Levi, CEO of LogicTools and Professor at MIT. "We encourage our users to develop in house expertise in supply chain strategic and tactical planning and provide the initial as well as on going support to help them succeed."
