"Abe's Lucky Day" is an inspiring story about Abe, a homeless man, who accepts the lucky chances that send good things to him, a loaf of bread, a cardboard box to sleep in, a pair of gloves, a little cash, and shares the bounty with others less fortunate than he. Abe is thankful for the good things that happen to him, and he generously passes the blessings on until one day his many "forward payments" return to him with interest, when he returns a dropped newspaper to a stranger at a coffee shop. The end is happy and turns out to be the best of "Abe's Lucky Day." The colored illustrations decorate text details and presentation to make "Abe's Lucky Day" excellent reading for children age 8 and up. "Abe's Lucky Day" is a study in compassion given and received, and in gratitude.
