) has appointed Abby F. Kohnstamm as a director.

Ms. Kohnstamm is senior vice president, marketing, of International Business Machines Corporation and is a member of the IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  Operations Committee and the Chairman's Council.

Ms. Kohnstamm, 47, joined IBM in 1993 following senior marketing positions at American Express American Express (NYSE: AXP), sometimes known as "AmEx" or "Amex", is a diversified global financial services company, headquartered in New York City. The company is best known for its credit card, charge card and traveler's cheque businesses.  Company from 1979 to 1993. She holds a B.A. degree from Tufts University and M.A. and M.B.A. degrees from New York University New York University, mainly in New York City; coeducational; chartered 1831, opened 1832 as the Univ. of the City of New York, renamed 1896. It comprises 13 schools and colleges, maintaining 4 main centers (including the Medical Center) in the city, as well as the .

With this appointment, Tiffany's Board increases to eight members.
