James R. Addlesberger, Chairman and CEO of NaviStor.Com, a Storage & Backup Systems Integrator with headquarters in Concord, Mass., whose own select partnerships reflect NaviStor's focus on high availability Also called "RAS" (reliability, availability, serviceability) or "fault resilient," it refers to a multiprocessing system that can quickly recover from a failure. There may be a minute or two of downtime while one system switches over to another, but processing will continue.  storage systems, such as SANs-storage area networks, NAS-network-attached storage and SRM-storage resource management software, said "We see our partnership with Aaxion as enabling us to bring a new level of "predictive" availability to our customers based on Aaxion's new product set LookOut.  is a new OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  partnership with SoftTech (ST) Solutions. ST Solutions is a leading developer of advanced on-line diagnostic software and hardware repair tools for the Unix industry. ST Solutions saw in Aaxion's LookOut an opportunity to re-brand a complimentary sister product to their highly successful On Line! Detective(R) for Sun(TM), a software tool offering complete, in-depth product knowledge reference materials for sales and administration personnel supporting Sun Microsystems workstations and servers. "Sleuth combined with On-Line! Detective for Sun becomes a powerful combination of tools to increase up-time in mission-critical environments," states Paul Violassi, CEO of SoftTech. "With the average outage cost in the tens of thousands of dollars, predictive and preventive tools like Sleuth and Detective can save companies hundreds of thousands of dollars annually."

Aaxion's LookOut is a revolutionary, intuitive software tool that "watches" and classifies fault and error events reported by the operating system, noting the frequency of each occurrence. LookOut identifies potential hardware unreliability from a stream of intermittent hardware faults recorded in the system event log. Utilizing unique fault detection and pattern recognition technologies, LookOut sends notification when, and only if, the trended pattern of observed faults match those known to precede failure.

Aaxion is dedicated to keeping the eCommerce infrastructure up and running and LookOut was developed to deliver greater web-business reliability and to meet the continued growth demands of the Internet.

Aaxion Software, founded in 1999, is a privately-held, USA based corporation, serving enterprise web service, eBusiness and web hosting customers; contracts multiple, licensed resellers and markets its products through several worldwide distributor partnerships.
