To integrate its core business processes, Aastra Technologies Limited has selected J.D. Edwards & Company (Nasdaq: JDEC) collaborative enterprise software, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and services, including implementation, education and support.

With an impressive growth rate of 470 percent between fiscal 1998 and 2002, Aastra develops and markets products and systems for accessing communication networks, including the Internet. Over the past three years, Aastra completed several major acquisitions, which resulted in an internal infrastructure built on disparate software systems and inconsistent business processes. The result was an array of disjointed processes that often impeded workflow and delayed response times.

In April 2003, Aastra selected J.D. Edwards 5 ERP, SCM, and CRM software and services to create an integrated, collaborative backbone to automate and standardize key internal and external business processes. The ability to access real-time financial and operational information globally to better service customers around the world was a key requirement for Aastra. The company's customers include leading telecommunications providers such as Bell Canada, British Telecom, TELUS, Sprint, Verizon and Qwest.
