AZNA LLC Announces Qualification of 10Gb/s Chirp Managed Lasers.

WILMINGTON, Mass. -- AZNA LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

LLC - Logical Link Control
has announced the qualification of their 10Gb/s Chirp See chirped pulse and CHRP.  Managed Laser (CML 1. CML - A query language.

(TM)) product family in accordance with the requirements of Telcordia(TM) GR468-CORE. The CML family consists of the DM-80 and the DM-200 product codes. These codes enable transmission distances for 10Gb/s NRZ signals up to 120km and 250km respectively without the need for any dispersion compensation - a capability which is possible only with the AZNA CML(TM). Both product codes have the standard butterfly package footprint; the WDM XFP TOSA Tosa

version of the CML(TM) will complete qualification in early 2006.

The CML(TM) utilizes 10Gb/s direct modulation which outperforms external modulators commonly used in high performance networks. The CML(TM) technology solves the inherent chirp problem associated with the direct modulation of these lasers with an elegant, yet simple and robust optical design. The CML(TM) package takes advantage of more than a decade of laser reliability by integrating reliable off-the-shelf DFB DFB

laser chips with time-tested standard laser packaging processes. This solution enables a reliable and a virtual dispersion-immune transmission network.

"Our numerous design wins have already driven us to volume production levels. Our customers' responses to the CML in their network trials have been over-the-top." said Parviz Tayebati, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization.  of AZNA LLC. "They emphasize the performance, small size, cost savings, and network flexibility brought about by not having to deal with the constraints of dispersion compensation. Now, by adding the successful qualification of the CML(TM) to these benefits, we are able to complete the picture for widespread telecom deployments." added Tayebati.

AZNA LLC (www.aznallc.com)was cofounded in September, 2002 by a number of senior management previously with Nortel, Lucent, Opnext, and Ortel with operations in Boston. Parviz Tayebati who previously founded CoreTek, Inc. (acquired by Nortel Networks in 2000) leads the company.
