AXENT Technologies announces the formation of two new strategic business units.

James R. Bowerman has been appointed vice president and general manager of the Resource Management unit. He will be responsible for AXENT's development lab in Nashua, N.H., and product management of its OmniGuard/Enterprise Access Control(R)(EAC EAC an abbreviation used in studies of complement, in which E represents erythrocyte, A antibody, and C complement. ) for UNIX UNIX

Robert A. Clyde has been named vice president and general manager of AXENT's Security Management unit. Clyde will be responsible for AXENT's development lab in Provo, Utah. He will also oversee product management of its OmniGuard/Enterprise Security Manager(R), OmniGuard/Intruder Alert(R), and Classic products.

Clyde has served as vice president of client services and sales support and as vice president of the company responsible for product management at AXENT. He brings over 20 years of information security experience to the Security Management unit. Clyde's leadership and vision provided the foundation for forming AXENT two years ago.
