AXENT Technologies Inc. announces record earnings on a 52% increase in quarterly revenues.ROCKVILLE, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 24, 1996--AXENT(TM) Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:AXNT) today reported revenues for the three months ended June 30, 1996 of $5.3 million, an increase of 52% over revenues of $3.5 million for the same three month period of 1995. Revenues for the six months ended June 30, 1996 were $9.4 million, an increase of 51% over revenues of $6.2 million for the same six month period of 1995. Income from continuing operations increased to $1,144,000 or $.11 per share for the three months ended June 30, 1996, compared to a loss from continuing operations of ($796,000) or ($.09) per share for the same period of 1995. For the six months ended June 30, 1996, income from continuing operations increased to $1,227,000 or $.12 per share, compared to a loss from continuing operations of ($2,000,000) or ($.22) per share for the same period of 1995. Income from discontinued operations was $526,000 or $.05 per share for the three months ended June 30, 1996, compared to $1,394,000 or $.16 per share for the same period of 1995. For the six months ended June 30, 1996, income from discontinued operations was $1,553,000 or $.16 per share compared to income from discontinued operations of $2,632,000 or $.29 per share for the same period of 1995. Net income for the three months ended June 30, 1996 increased 179% to $1,670,000 or $.16 per share, compared to net income of $598,000 or $.07 per share for the second quarter of 1995. Net income for the six months ended June 30, 1996 increased 340% to $2,780,000 or $.28 per share, compared to net income of $632,000 or $.07 per share for the same period of 1995. Richard A.
