DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 14, 2000

AXCESS Inc. (Nasdaq:AXSI), a leading provider of asset management products and solutions, announced today that they are working with New York-based Logicraft Corporation to provide digital video transmission and recording, as well as automatic identification to aircraft fueling efforts at JFK International Airport in New York New York, state, United States

Logicraft Corporation is a software developer and system integrator, that specializes in airport logistics applications in general and aircraft fuel operations management Operations management is an area of business that is concerned with the production of goods and services, and involves the responsibility of ensuring that business operations are efficient and effective.  systems in particular. As an IT contractor to Ogden Aviation Services, Logicraft supplies advanced software applications, instrumental in tracking fueling operations, at more than ten major airports throughout the country. Having established a stronghold in fueling operations, Logicraft is also moving into baggage handling operations.

Logicraft recently began an effort to utilize AXCESS' automatic identification products and digital video transmitters and recorders, in its fueling automation program at JFK International Airport. As aircraft refueling is a highly complex and time-sensitive procedure, it's critical that delivery of fuel is precisely tracked at every stage of the operation. By affixing AXCESS ActiveTag(TM) Vehicle Tags to fueling vehicles, Logicraft can automatically track exactly when each fueling vehicle accesses and leaves various areas of the airport.

Also important is timely maintenance of fueling vehicles. As the vehicles are operating virtually every day, it is critical that they receive proper maintenance and are not sent out without appropriate fuel meter calibration. By utilizing the ActiveTag system, Logicraft is able to ensure that vehicles scheduled for routine maintenance or meter calibration do not leave the area.

Additionally, Logicraft is able to use its existing, on-site LAN (Local Area Network) A communications network that serves users within a confined geographical area. The "clients" are the user's workstations typically running Windows, although Mac and Linux clients are also used.  to incorporate AXCESS' LANcam(TM) networked cameras and LANcorder(TM) digital video recording system. "We already had a LAN in place at JFK, so the network connectivity of AXCESS' video and tagging products was a big draw," stated Avery Kraft, President of Logicraft, "both lines of products are ideally suited to the fueling application we provide and allow us greater control over information and critical fueling resources in this complex logistic lo·gis·tic   also lo·gis·ti·cal
