AXCESS Customer Rolls Out Video Management Nationwide; Sentry Technology Uses Internet to Connect Retailer to its 138 Stores.

AXCESS Inc. (Nasdaq:AXSI) announced today that it has delivered an order for 138 digital video transmitters from its Prism Video(TM) line to Sentry Technology Corporation of Hauppauge, New York.

Sentry Technology's purchase will be utilized in the stores of one of its major nationwide retail customers for remote video management including; monitoring of sales activity, security, consumer trends and employee policy compliance.

Sentry Technology purchased the MM-300 transmitters from AXCESS' Prism Video line for remote video management and the product will be integrated with multiplexers, Pan/Tilt/Zoom camera control (PTZ), audio and panic alarms. This enables the customer to fully control these functions remotely over the Internet from their desktop PC.

Prior to this new installation, Sentry Technology utilized AXCESS' Prism Video line at Hudson News stands nationwide for remote surveillance capabilities. The client had a pressing need to employ fast and reliable video surveillance at its retail locations.

While controlling theft was the primary concern, maintaining and improving employee productivity through the use of video surveillance was also an objective. Key requirements for the system were the ability to transmit digital video with high frame rates, remote dial-in capability and system reliability. Sentry Technology analyzed Hudson News' particular situation and decided to employ AXCESS' MM-100 video transmitters. The MM-100's were coupled with existing cameras and, using only standard phone lines, allow for real-time surveillance from remote PC's.
