Subsidiaries in UK and Paris Consolidate Data for Distributed Database A database physically stored in two or more computer systems. Although geographically dispersed, a distributed database system manages and controls the entire database as a single collection of data.

decalog, a leading international supplier of investment management solutions, announced today that it has licensed its full suite of IDEE software products to AXA Sun Life Investment Management (AXA SLIM), the UK asset management arm of AXA Group. AXA Investment Managers, the Paris operation that contracted IDEE in 1997, will consolidate its data with the UK operation for a distributed database, streamlining the reporting process.

IDEE will be used to support AXA SLIM's equity and fixed income portfolio managers and traders. AXA SLIM contracted for 100 users for IDEE Manager, IDEE Trader, IDEE Compliance, and IDEE Performance. They are the UK's fifth largest life assurance company asset manager measured by funds under management. AXA SLIM manages investments in excess of $58 billion, principally for AXA Group UK companies.

"We came to the same conclusion as our partners at AXA Investment Managers in Paris did last year: that IDEE is a superior product," says AXA SLIM Systems Delivery Manager Rob Sutherland. "We can easily fold our long term vision into our existing systems because IDEE is functionally rich and its architecture is flexible. The physical database is in Paris, so within that database we will start to consolidate the positions and holdings of all the AXA Investment Managers companies."

"We are excited to have been chosen as the strategic partner of AXA SLIM in implementing their global asset management solution," comments Thierry Aiglon, Vice-President for International Operations Internal Operations (I.O., IO or I/O) is a fictional American Intelligence Agency in Wildstorm comics. It was originally called International Operations. I.O. first appeared in WildC.A.T.S. volume 1 #1 (August, 1992) and was created by Brandon Choi and Jim Lee.  at decalog. "The scope of the project, including the installation of a central database to consolidate their data with AXA Investment Managers in Paris, demonstrates the ability of IDEE to support a true distributed organization -- a major industry trend that investment management companies are facing today."
