 AWT SUBSIDIARY AWARDED $7 MILLION CONTRACT TO INSTALL TWO ESPS
 AT CHEVRON'S EL SEGUNDO REFINERY
 BRANCHBURG, N.J., Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- R-C Europe, a Research- Cottrell company and a subsidiary of Air & Water Technologies Corporation (AMEX: AWT), has been awarded a contract to install two electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) at Chevron's El Segundo, Calif. refinery. The contract is valued at approximately $7 million.
 Research-Cottrell will provide turnkey installation services for the project, including design, engineering, construction, and start-up. The two ESPs will treat gas generated by a fluidized catalytic cranking unit and replace ESPs originally installed by Research-Cottrell in the 1950s and upgraded in the 1970s.
 "California's rigorous air pollution control regulations demand state-of-the-art technologies." said Donald A. Deieso, president and CEO of Research-Cottrell. "Our system will meet the stringent emissions standards under both the state and local Los Angeles area programs."
