(AWR(R)), and Pulsic Ltd., Bristol, England, today announced that Pulsic's Lyric Automatic Routing(TM) system is now integrated into AWR's Analog Office(R) 2006 design suite for analog and radio-frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) design. Through the Analog Office OpenAccess open standard data access interface (API), interconnects represented by the unique Analog Office Intelligent Net(TM)2 (iNet2) technology can now be automatically routed in Pulsic's full-featured, automatic, constraint-driven, shaped-based Lyric Automatic Routing system. The new solution enables high-frequency analog, RF, and mixed-signal designers to access the Pulsic routing system without leaving the Analog Office design environment, saving design time, increasing accuracy, and speeding designs to final tape-out.

Analog and RF intellectual property (IP) blocks can now be designed, analyzed, and then routed quickly and correctly within the Analog Office software, and there is no need for separate netlist generation and physical data translation steps because the designer never leaves the Analog Office platform. The Analog Office iNet2 data structure is maintained through the interface, ensuring concurrent electrical and physical design and analysis within AWR's single, unified design environment.
