The National Disabled Ski Hall of Fame recognized two new members for their contributions to adaptive skiing during the sixth annual induction ceremony in Breckenridge, Colorado Breckenridge is a town in Summit County, Colorado, United States. As of the 2000 census the town had a total population of 2,408. It is the county seat of Summit County. Breckenridge is also a popular ski resort during the winter months, servicing multi-difficulty ski slopes on , Saturday, December 9, 2000. Hall of Fame members have introduced innovative techniques or specialized equipment, developed benchmark programs or have made milestone accomplishments in disabled ski racing Ski racing may refer to:

Candidates for this year's awards included competitive skier Dave Rader of California, a former member of the U.S. Disabled Ski Team; Kirk Bauer of Maryland, executive director of Disabled Sports USA; and Katherine Hayes Rodriguez of California, director of the Tahoe Adaptive Ski School. The Hall of Fame is housed in The Lodge at Sunspot at Winter Park Resort Winter Park Resort is an alpine ski resort in Winter Park, Colorado in the Rocky Mountains. Located just off U.S. Highway 40, the resort is about an hour and a half's drive from Denver, Colorado.  in Colorado. It was established in 1995 by Winter Park and the National Sports Center The National Sports Center is a 600 acres (2.4 km²) multi-sport complex located in Blaine, Minnesota that includes a soccer stadium with a track, over 50 youth soccer fields, a golf course, a velodrome, a meeting and convention facility, and an eight-sheet ice rink, the Schwan  for the Disabled.

) Award of Merit from ASTM Committee F15 on Consumer Products. The title of Fellow accompanies the award, which is the highest Society award granted to an individual member for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM technical committee activities. Dr. Wallach was cited for meritorious service, specifically for leadership of and technical contributions on Public Playground Equipment. Dr. Wallach, a resident of New York New York, state, United States
