MOUNT LAUREL, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 29, 1996--AW Computer Systems Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS:AWCSA) reported today operations for the Dec. 31, 1995 year which resulted in a net loss of $2,341,018, or 56 cents per share Cents per share

However, Mr. Welch further noted that the Wizard is now in pilot in two leading national retail chains. AW's new CPA product is scheduled for "live" pilot with a leading national supermarket chain with over 1,100 stores. The pilot expected to have been in operation this March is now anticipated to be "live" next month. CPA incorporates machine vision and is designed to improve accuracy and efficiency at supermarket checkout counters. The system has the ability to interpret visual images while relating these images to the point-of-sale transactions being processed. Discrepancies are recorded as an abnormal event, stored, and a System Alert is issued. As a result, CPA can greatly enhance store profitability. It is anticipated that additional CPA pilots in other national supermarket chains will follow with rollouts to commence in the second half of 1996.
