AW'S new product "Wizard/Tutor" pilot expanded to multi units in two store locations of a national retail chain.

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 28, 1996--AW Computer Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ/NMS:AWCSA) announced today the installation of AW's new product "Wizard/Tutor" in a second pilot store of a major national retailer which has expanded its pilot program to multiple units per store.

The Wizard/Tutor significantly reduces the cost of training new cashiers by providing step-by-step on-line instructions during the checkout process thereby replacing the traditional and costly practice of "pairing" the trainee with an experienced cashier.

Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. , in a forward-looking statement, said that he is much encouraged with recent Wizard/Tutor developments and stated that several additional pilots are planned in the next thirty days with other national retail chains.

Improvements have been made to AW's Checker Productivity Analyzer ("CPA (Computer Press Association, Landing, NJ) An earlier membership organization founded in 1983 that promoted excellence in computer journalism. Its annual awards honored outstanding examples in print, broadcast and electronic media. The CPA disbanded in 2000. "). During the CPA in-store pilot operation, the company identified and recently completed development on certain visual performance aspects of the digital cameras. The camera enhancement is currently operating in the AW's CPA lab in New Jersey and is scheduled for installation at the pilot store within two weeks. Consequently, we are now able to proceed with introduction of additional CPA functionality in the pilot store.
