AVVA signs international royalty agreement.

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 13, 1994--AVVA TECHNOLOGIES INC.(Alberta Stock Exchange: AVY) AVVA Technologies Inc., Alberta based distributor of specialty illuminated sign technology, today finalized an international joint venture/licensing agreement with Optican Technologies Inc. for exclusive rights to use AVVA's technology in the United Arab Emirates.

With an established Middle Eastern distribution system based out of Abu Dhabi and the license to manufacture AVVA products, Optican has exclusivity for all AVVA products and technology sold within the United Arab Emirates.

Both Optican and AVVA believe that royalties derived from sales will be substantially higher than the agreed net minimum royalty of U$54,000 in the first year. Optican has agreed to purchase its initial six month inventory through AVVA which enhances AVVA's purchasing powers. Both parties have agreed to sharing product knowledge and technical developments.

This is the first finalized agreement of several pending international negotiations.
