WebLinq enables customers to launch fax and email broadcasts, track broadcast status and manage lists and documents using standard Web browsers The following is a list of web browsers. Historical

from anywhere in the world. MediaLinqClient software provides easy access to these tasks and the full range of MediaLinq services from the Windows desktop.

"With the new versions of WebLinq and MediaLinqClient, MediaLinq continues to 'webify' its IP fax and email delivery services and expands the options for customers to seamlessly mix-and-match services and access methods," said David Sohm, president of AVT MediaLinq Services. "This enables customers to more easily respond to their evolving communication needs."

WebLinq 2.0 offers advanced document conversion and preview features as well as list management capabilities -- available from a standard Web browser:

Web-Based Document Conversion: With WebLinq 2.0, customers can now upload their original Microsoft Word A full-featured word processing program for Windows and the Macintosh from Microsoft. Included in the Microsoft application suite, it is a sophisticated program with rudimentary desktop publishing capabilities that has become the most widely used word processing application on the market. , Excel, PowerPoint and HTML HTML

files directly to WebLinq for fax broadcast, thereby saving significant time and effort. Users can also attach any file type for email broadcasts, including Adobe Acrobat Document exchange software from Adobe that allows documents to be displayed and printed the same on every computer. The Acrobat system created the Portable Document Format (PDF), which is widely used in commercial printing and on the Web. See PDF.  (.pdf), Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; fax files (.tif); Plain Text (.txt); and audio, video and animation files.

IP Fax Preview: Since the MediaLinq system converts documents to fax format, the new IP Fax Preview feature enables users to view these converted documents prior to launching its broadcast. This feature provides an extra measure of control to customers and ensures large volume broadcasts are delivered as planned.

Online List Management: The expanded list management capabilities in WebLinq 2.0 also aid in assuring faxes and emails are easily and quickly delivered to specified recipients. Customers can select any number of existing lists as well as upload new lists for broadcast on the fly. Users can add, delete and modify entries to WebLinq lists, create lists from scratch and sort lists by multiple criteria. These management capabilities streamline and simplify the process of maintaining address lists.

In addition to WebLinq 2.0, MediaLinqClient 3.2 has broadened the benefits of its integrated fax and email services See Internet e-mail service.  by automating certain features based on delivery type. Among other features, Version 3.2 utilizes new document conversion technology, which -- in one step -- automatically detects the document type and converts it to the appropriate formats specific to fax and email. For example, if a user has a Microsoft Word document, it would automatically be converted to a .tif file A file extension used for TIFF files; for example, image1.tif. See TIFF and extension.  for fax delivery and sent as a Word attachment for email.

Besides WebLinq and MediaLinqClient, customers can also access MediaLinq's network and services using DirectAccess via a fax machine, through MediaLinq's API (Application Programming Interface) A language and message format used by an application program to communicate with the operating system or some other control program such as a database management system (DBMS) or communications protocol.  (Application Programming Interface) and Assisted Services Group and by way of the RightFAX 7.0 server via the IP Plus Connector.
