Stockholders will receive one additional share for every share held on the record date of December 27, 1999. Additional shares will be mailed or delivered on or about January 10, 2000, by the Company's transfer agent, Chase Mellon Shareholder Services. The common stock will begin trading at a post-split price on January 11, 2000. AVT stock closed at $41.00 on December 16, 1999. As of December 16, 1999, AVT had approximately 15,303,488 shares of Common Stock outstanding.
