The deal grants the AVP the license to operate and promote the annual AVF tour and brings together the top beach volleyball organizations from two countries that are established as leaders in the development of the sport.

The five-year deal automatically renews at the end of the term upon AVP meeting certain performance milestones.

The 2008 tour schedule includes five events in prominent beach locations throughout Australia:
January 25-27, 2008 - Gold Coast (Surfers Paradise) (Queensland)
February 8-10, 2008 - Manly Beach (Sydney) (New South Wales)
February 15-17, 2008 - Port Macquarie (New South Wales)
March 7-9, 2008 - Perth (Scarborough Beach) (Western Australia)
March 21-23, 2008 - Adelaide (Glenelg) (South Australia)


At stake for players in 2008 is top prize money, an opportunity to play in iconic Australia beach locations, and the chance to be affiliated with one of the top sporting events in Australia. The number of events is slated to increase in 2009 as the tour expects to grow in prominence thanks to the relationship with the AVP.
