This week is no different.

The mother of two posted the first story in a series of her family's ``no-car-needed adventures.'' The local family headed out to Solana Beach by train where they spent some quality time together. Their story, on page 6, is priceless and it may just inspire you to go an adventure of your own.

, of Woodland Hills, writes about what moves him. For years, he helped build habitat for people. Then one day, he realized that he could do the same for wildlife.

Today, he volunteers with Wildlife Care of Ventura County and his yard has been certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a ``Backyard Wildlife Habitat Backyard Wildlife Habitat is a program of the National Wildlife Federation that encourages homeowners in the United States to manage their yards with the goal of maintaining healthy and diverse animal ecosystems. .''

His story shows us another way that humans and wildlife can coexist and how just one person can make a difference.
