AVENTIS CROPSCIENCE POTATO SYMPOSIUM.
Aventis CropScience provided a one-day potato symposium for university researchers and top growers from across the country during the recent National Potato Convention in San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. San Diego includes the unincorporated communities of La Jolla and Spring Valley. Coronado is across the bay. . Dr. Udo Klein, marketing director for the Aventis horticulture horticulture [Lat. hortus=garden], science and art of gardening and of cultivating fruits, vegetables, flowers, and ornamental plants. Horticulture generally refers to small-scale gardening, and agriculture to the growing of field crops, usually on a large group chaired the meeting.
