AVC GETS A NEW CAMPUS COLLEGE COURSES RETURN TO PALMDALE.Byline: Jim Skeen Staff Writer LANCASTER - More than 400 students attended classes Monday at Antelope Valley This article is about the Los Angeles County region. The college is working to establish a permanent south valley campus on 80 acres south of Barrel Springs Road between 37th and 47th streets east. The campus would be part of a master-planned housing development proposed on 540 acres. The college is pursuing a $139 million bond measure, Measure R, in the fall election. A portion of the bond would go toward establishing a Palmdale campus.
