AVC FOOTBALL NOTEBOOK: TRYING TO STAY POSITIVE CAN AVC GET REFOCUSED?

Optimism. It's the one thing that had been a constant this season among the football players and coaching staff at Antelope Valley College Antelope Valley College is a comprehensive community college located in Lancaster, California, USA. It is operated by the Antelope Valley Community College District, with a primary service area of 1,945 square miles covering portions of Los Angeles and Kern counties. .

But that optimism has diminished with the mounting losses to the point of being nearly nonexistent non·ex·is·tence

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound sophomore broke Cory Allred's 2001 record of 24 completions against Reedley in the season opener. He's 161 of 285 for 1,925 yards and 14 touchdowns this season.

``Talk is cheap, actions show,'' Wright said. ``I try to elevate my game so we can win. I've worked hard and I thought I would be happier with the records, but we're not winning. I guess after the season I'll congratulate myself. Then maybe I'll be satisfied.''
