 College's opponent next week, starts a substitute running back named Jones.

For the second week in a row, the Marauders' defense fell victim to a replacement running back Saturday night in a 20-17 loss to Southwestern. And just like last week, this running back gained more than 200 yards.

Southwestern (5-1, 3-1) scored on its first possession, marching 68 yards in six plays, the final 36 yards by Jones for his only touchdown of the night. Jones ran the ball five of six plays, accounting for 65 of the team's yards.

Antelope Valley (2-4, 1-3) cut the lead to 7-3 on a 31-yard field goal by Victor Oceguera with 47 seconds left in the first quarter. It was only the second time Antelope Valley has scored this year in the opening quarter.

Southwestern took a 10-3 lead at intermission on a 38-yard field goal by Dave Markel with two seconds remaining in the half.

The Marauders finished the first half with only five first downs on 115 yards. Antelope Valley turned the ball over on four of its five first-half possessions.
