The college also needs about 500 parking spaces. The bond issue would help establish a Palmdale campus at an initial cost of about $38 million, including $16.2 million in locally raised revenue. The Palmdale campus would be part of the 540-acre College Park housing development proposed south of Barrel Springs Road between 37th and 47th treets east.
