AVC AUDITION TIME ONE ACT FESTIVAL NEEDS ACTORS.

The Antelope Valley
 College's Theatre Arts Department will hold open auditions for its annual Original One Act Festival from 4 to 6 p.m. Dec. 1 and 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 2.

Auditions will be in the Black Box Theater For the theater in Oslo, Norway, see Black Box Teater.
The black box theater is a relatively recent innovation, consisting of a simple, somewhat unadorned performance space, usually a large square room with black walls and a flat floor.

Callbacks for the show will be held Dec. 3 if needed.

Theatre Arts Department faculty members Kirk Vichengrad and David Wright will direct the original work of student playwrights.

The festival will take place during the AVC (1) (Advanced Video Coding) The video compression techniques used in the H.264 standard, jointly developed by ISO and the ITU-T. See H.264.

 Jan. 28-30 and Feb. 4-5. Performances will be given at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Interested individuals are not required to present a memorized monologue, as various scenes from the plays will be used to determine the roles.

Producers encourage actors of any ethnicity and of all physical abilities to audition.
