AVALAN Technology enters Japanese market with Sumitomo Metals.


HOLLISTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4, 1996--

Sumitomo Metal To Distribute Japanese Version

of Remotely Possible/32

AVALAN Technology, Inc., one of the world's leading MS Windows remote control vendors, has signed an agreement with Sumitomo Metal Industries Sumitomo Metal Industries, Ltd. (住友金属工業株式会社  , Ltd. (SMI (1) (Storage Management Initiative) The initiative developed by the SNIA in 2003 to create a single standard interface for storage management technologies used by multiple vendors and networking communities. ), to engineer and distribute their Japanese version of Remotely Possible/32. This development is in direct response to the growing PC market in Japan and the demand for fast remote control software.

The Remotely Possible product family allows for full remote control of any Windows 3.x Windows 3.x can refer to either an individual or all of the following versions of Microsoft Windows:
  • Windows 3.0
  • Windows 3.1x
These should not be confused with the first three releases of Windows NT, which were also given "3.x" version numbers, i.e.

Remotely Possible/32-J Availability
