It will be three or four years before the church has the budget to begin building.

Shapouri said churches have trouble building in Santa Clarita, where few large pieces of land are available. Many pay local school districts to use their facilities on Sundays, but the schools are filling up.

The Sierra Highway property is about three miles north of Soledad Canyon Road.

``We've been looking at that property for years,'' Shapouri said.

Premier owns a fleet of vehicles it rents for filming and had sought permits to build a storage, rental and repair facility for up to 1,500 cars and trucks.

County planners had recommended the commission deny the plan because it didn't fit with the surroundings and the proposal was not detailed enough.
